Does your beer stand out from the crowd?

I recently picked up this article from the New Zealand beer magazine Beer town. In it, the author, Martin Craig, asks whether as a new brewer, you are bringing something new to the table – “What makes your brewery unique?”

The question arises out of the sheer number of craft brewers emerging every month (and not just in New Zealand, but globally). What mark will you leave? Will you brew anything we will instantly recognise? The market seems to be too crowded for the answer to be “not sure”.
